Help & Support

Everything you need to set up and run Creditio — B2B credit control for Shopify.

Getting started

Creditio works on top of Shopify's native B2B companies — there's nothing to migrate and no separate wholesale system to set up.

  1. Install Creditio on a store with B2B enabled and at least one company set up.
  2. After install, Creditio syncs your companies automatically within about a minute. Open Creditio from the Shopify admin left navigation to see the Dashboard.
  3. Click into a company to set its credit limit and enforcement mode, or set a shop-wide default in Settings.
  4. Use Sync all from Shopify any time you want to re-pull company and order data on demand.

Credit limits & enforcement

Each company can have its own credit limit, or inherit the shop-wide default from Settings. Leave the limit empty for unlimited credit.

Enforcement has three modes, set per company or shop-wide:

You can also set a grace period (days past due before enforcement kicks in) and a custom checkout block message shown to buyers.

What buyers see at checkout

When a company is blocked, Creditio's checkout validation runs entirely on Shopify's servers — it can't be bypassed by editing the storefront. Buyers see your configured message in the cart and at checkout, and the order is rejected before payment.

Heads up: when sharing a draft order's checkout link from the Shopify admin, there is a separate "Skip business rules" (payment rules) toggle in the share dialog. If that's switched on, the buyer can pay without Creditio's checks running. Leave it off for normal orders.

The AR aging dashboard

The Dashboard shows every company's open balance, overdue balance, and how much of that balance falls into the current / 1–30 / 31–60 / 61–90 / 90+ day buckets — calculated from Shopify's payment schedule due dates, refreshed automatically and on demand via Sync all from Shopify.

Payment reminders (dunning)

Turn on Send automatic payment reminder emails in Settings to have Creditio email a company's contact automatically around its due date. You control:

If dunning is turned on for an invoice that's already well overdue, Creditio only sends the most advanced reminder step due — it won't flood the buyer with every missed step at once.

CSV export (Pro)

On the Pro plan, Export CSV on the Dashboard downloads the full AR aging report, and each company's detail page can export its own open invoices — handy for reconciling with your accounting software.

Plans & billing

Creditio has two plans, both with a 14-day free trial, billed through Shopify:

You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the Shopify admin's app billing settings.

FAQ

Does Creditio require Shopify Plus?

No. Shopify opened B2B companies and checkout validation functions to all plans that support B2B — Creditio works the same way on any of them.

Does Creditio replace Shopify's native B2B or net terms?

No — it builds on top of them. Companies, payment terms and orders stay entirely within Shopify; Creditio adds the credit limit, enforcement, aging and reminders that native B2B doesn't include.

Can I override the shop-wide default for a specific company?

Yes — every enforcement setting can be overridden on a company's own detail page.

What happens when I uninstall the app?

Shopify notifies us automatically and we delete your store's Creditio data (companies, invoices, reminder history) shortly after, per our Privacy Policy.

Is my data encrypted?

Yes — in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest. See the Security section of our Privacy Policy for details.
